From Booklist
Andrews and Hamilton’s popular fairy princess, Gerry, is graduating (from kindergarten, apparently), and this change is bringing all sorts of angst: new classroom, new teacher, no thank you. And worst of all, what if she is not allowed to wear her signature crown and wings? Davenier’s bright pen-and-ink washes are a delight and combine nicely with the first-person narration (though Gerry tends to sound older than her years). There aren’t many surprises here. The new teacher—a man!—turns out to understand why she needs to wear her accoutrements. Other anxieties are also readily resolved. Gerry’s many fans will be glad to see her moving up in life with wings still firmly attached, albeit to a blue graduation gown. (The crown rests nicely on the mortarboard.) Preschool-Kindergarten. --Ilene Cooper

adorable!
By Mrs Mommy Booknerd (Mrs Mommy Booknerd's Book Reviews) #MMBBR
This book is a beautifully and quite adorably illustrated and exceptional story about dealing with change. In this case, the story is addressing the change of leaving the comfort of one classroom with a beloved teacher and class pet into another unknown classroom due to graduation. It is a great way to create dialogue with kids on healthy ways to deal with change and new situations and people. I really enjoyed the story and can't wait to read others in the series 4.5 stars!

Perfect
By Sharon Hulton
I've been buying these for my 7 year old granddaughter. She loves the books. I gave her this one for graduating 1st grade. It was excellent timing as she was a bit afraid of going to 2nd grade and the book talks about that. It was perfect!
