About the Author
James Aitken Wylie (1808-1890) was a Scottish historian of religion and a Presbyterian minister. He was a prolific writer and is most famous for writing "The History of Protestantism". Not All Italians Are Catholic!

It only seems that way because most Bible-believing Italians were slaughtered by a misguided Medieval Church. You will be inspired by these people who although outnumbered, defended themselves nobly and by the Providence of God. Their struggles typify the persecutions true believers have always faced and will continue to face. This is not a "live happily ever after" account. This is real. If you live in the West this will be an aspect of faith that you may not have considered. But the majority of people live where persecution is real and in their faces everyday. For that aspect alone it is a worthy book to take up and read.

History Does Repeat It's Self

This is a great read. It warns us today of the persecution that follows Christians who follow the teachings of God and Jesus Christ. It reminds us that the more, that people fail to follow the Gods will, the more evil and violent they become, Sin dulls the pain of guilt.They know they are sinning against God, but they hate being told they are sinning. Some resort to violence instead of repenting. Hence the extermination of the Waldenses!
